Original Sprout to be Included in Gift Bags at HollyRod Foundation Design Care Event.

Celebrities and philanthropists attending the HollyRod Foundation’s 13th annual Design Care event will find a $25 gift from Original Sprout in their gift bags. The event, an annual fundraiser for Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete’s HollyRod Foundation, will take place at a private Beverly Hills estate on Saturday, July 23rd.

This year’s Design Care event has grown to over 500 guests, including many celebrities and newsmakers. It raises funds to support the foundation in its commitment to provide enhanced care to people with Parkinson’s disease, and expanded resources to children and families of children with autism. Past event performers at the intimate gala include Stevie Wonder, En Vogue, Babyface, and Robin Thicke

“Original Sprout shares the HollyRod Foundation’s dedication to providing a better quality of life to those in need,” says Original Sprout founder, Inga Tritt. “Given the extensive research I’ve done on the potential long-term effects of some cosmetic ingredients, diseases like autism, Parkinson’s and others are always at the forefront of my mind. We’re delighted with the opportunity to support the foundation.”

Original Sprout is experiencing a surge in demand, and has been widely reviewed in beauty magazines and green beauty blogs. Sprout products also enjoy a following of celebrities and celebrity stylists and are being used on the sets of Men in Black III, The Community, CSI Las Vegas, and others. Original Sprout is currently distributed in salons, boutiques, and other retail outlets throughout the US & Canada, as well as the UK, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Monaco, and Luxembourg. A family-run company based in San Luis Obispo, California, Original Sprout expects to double or triple its distribution in 2011.

The HollyRod Foundation was founded in 1997 by Holly Robinson Peete and her husband, former NFL great, Rodney Peete. The foundation was inspired by Holly’s father’s struggle with Parkinson’s disease. It was later expanded to include the cause of autism when their eldest son was diagnosed with the disease. The foundation provides financial and emotional support to individuals and families facing these diseases, with the goal of giving them hope and the resources needed to obtain treatment.
