Dedicated to those living with Crohn’s disease, liver disease and Celiac disease, Home-Style Gluten Free and Dairy Free Cookbook (published by AuthorHouse) is “a quest for good food, while staying healthy at the same time” says author Janet Wheelock Balsbaugh. Her mission is to bring comfort food back into the lives of those suffering from an autoimmune disease, which are otherwise deprived of the every day staple dishes.

“Living gluten free and dairy free is a real challenge,” says Balsbaugh. “I needed to find ways of trying to improve my life, and have read so much information on the benefits of being gluten and dairy free; I thought I would give it a try. With having both Crohn’s disease and Sclerosing Cholangitis, living a Gluten-free and dairy free lifestyle has helped me.”

Home-Style Gluten Free and Dairy Free Cookbook offers a variety of gluten-free and dairy-free alternative recipes for appetizers, beverages, sandwiches, sauces and soups, breads, vegetables, salads, sides, meats and main dishes, plus desserts.

Balsbaugh hopes to inspire those who may have become frustrated by their conditions to get back into the kitchen and start enjoying food again, starting with reintroducing flavor into the diets of autoimmune disease sufferers.
