9-11 First Responders use Medical Device to treat Insomnia, Depression & Pain

After the Fisher Wallace Stimulator cured my Insomnia...I had to find a way to get it in the hands of other First Responders.

Fisher Wallace Laboratories today announced a partnership with Gear Up Foundation to supply 9-11 First Responders with free medical devices to treat depression, anxiety, insomnia and chronic pain. This is the first time a healthcare company has partnered with a non-profit to provide 9-11 First Responders with a portable and non-invasive medical device that treats a myriad of health problems.

Through this unique partnership, Gear Up Foundation will purchase Fisher Wallace Stimulators at a discount and supply them to 9-11 First Responders who qualify and receive prescriptions for the device. Fisher Wallace will FedEx the devices directly to First Responders at no cost. Dr. Robert Cancro, retired Chairman of Psychiatry at NYC Medical School and a current Fisher Wallace medical advisory board member, is offering free medical evaluations to First Responders who are interested in acquiring the device.

The public can text message tax-deductible donations to the Gear Up Foundation by texting the word "GearUp" followed by a space and the amount of their donation in dollars to 27138.

“After the Fisher Wallace Stimulator cured my insomnia, reduced my chronic pain and dramatically improved my quality of life, I had to find a way to get it into the hands of other first responders who sacrificed their health to serve their country,” states Gear Up Foundation founder Vincent Forras. “Supporters of Gear Up can donate money knowing their dollars are providing a real non-drug solution to a health crisis.”

The Fisher Wallace Stimulator is cleared by the FDA to treat depression, anxiety, insomnia and chronic pain. It uses gentle electrical currents to stimulate the brain’s production of serotonin, GABA and endorphins, the key neurotransmitters responsible for sleep and psychological health. The device causes no serious side effects and has been proven effective in many peer-reviewed studies, including research conducted at Harvard Medical School.

“We are honored to be working with Gear Up Foundation to solve health problems affecting the 9-11 First Responder community,” states Charles Avery Fisher, president, Fisher Wallace Laboratories. “I am confident that Gear Up’s commitment, combined with our innovative technology and relationships with the nation’s top doctors, will deliver much needed results.”
