Amsino Medical Group, a privately held developer and manufacturer of high value healthcare disposables, and Owens & Minor, Inc. (NYSE-OMI), a leading distributor of healthcare products to the U.S. acute-care market, have entered into an agreement to establish a joint venture designed to provide sourcing services for Owens & Minor’s private label brand.
Amsino will contribute its sourcing expertise to the new company, which will be distinctly separate from Amsino’s existing contract manufacturing, private label and branded businesses.
Dr. Richard Lee, Chairman and CEO of Amsino Medical Group, said, “We are proud of our sourcing partnership with Owens and Minor, and I believe the joint venture will contribute significantly to the continued successful growth of MediChoice products through focused quality and supply chain management.”
“Owens & Minor believes that by partnering with Amsino to create the new sourcing entity, we will improve service, quality and value for our private label product customers,” said Craig R. Smith, President and CEO of Owens & Minor.
