Waking up on a rainy Thursday morning, one may wonder how far he may have to drive to find a little bit of sunshine over the weekend? She plans a Sunday morning sailing trip, but wakes up to no wind - is it possible to find a windy location within 30 miles?
WWHIM launches an innovative take on weather forecasting – searchable forecasts in a defined radius. Enter a starting point and wwhim.com will display available weather forecasts within a 120 mile radius. Users can change the distance or go farther – then start sorting and filtering. The data can be sorted “Hot to Cold” or “Cold to Hot” over today and the next three days. Filters can also be applied – a range of temperatures selected and weather conditions can be selected (availability in the set radius is displayed) to give the wwhimmer full control of defining his or her ideal weather conditions. Finally – the ideal location becomes clear – and clicking on the city brings up driving directions and other useful information.
“A platform to perform a reverse weather search hasn’t existed until now,” explains co-founder and CEO Miles McEathron. “Defining the ideal weather will bring spontaneous road trips to a new level of enjoyment.” Initial response to wwhim.com has been extremely positive and the company looks forward to continuing to evolve to help users forecast its weather.
WWHIM operates wwhim.com, a searchable weather forecast website allowing users to find the ideal weather. The company was founded during the abysmal Pacific Northwest spring of 2011 when the founders were in dire need of a bit of sunshine. For any questions or comments, please contact us.
