We have seen what happens when businesses are affected by disaster. It’s absolutely devastating. You work so hard to build something – and within moments, it all comes tumbling down.
Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) July 28, 2011
It seems like yesterday that Hurricane Charley swept through Florida at speeds of over 170 mph, causing over $14 billion dollars worth of damages. Thousands of homes, businesses and lives were destroyed within hours. However, an anomaly still remains. While Florida has felt the sudden impact of several major hurricanes, the majority of Florida businesses are still ill-prepared for disaster.
This hurricane season, Anexio’s leadership team decided to take action provide the Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte business community with free resources including: disaster preparedness and business continuity plans, webinars, eBooks, whitepapers and more. In order to maximize the reach of The Disaster Preparedness and Business Continuity Series, Anexio partnered with local leaders including Bold Planning Solutions and the Sarasota Emergency Operations Center.
“We have seen what happens when businesses are affected by disaster. It’s absolutely devastating. You work so hard to build something – and within moments, it all comes tumbling down.” says Anexio’s CEO Jeffrey Nelson. “The Series that we are giving away for free is not just about being prepared for a hurricane – it’s about preparing your business for interruptions of any kind: system infiltrations, power outages, vengeful ex-employees, floods, and etc. can all wreck havoc on the long-term success of a business. It’s about preparing ahead of time – and not when it’s too late.”
In addition to the Disaster Preparedness and Business Continuity Seminar that took place this June, a few recent webinar topics covered in the series include: “How to Create a Detailed Business Continuity Plan,” featuring Chad Bowers of Bold Planning Solutions and “Sarasota Evacuation Zones for Businesses" featuring Ed McCrane of the Sarasota EOC.
Anexio and Series Sponsors highly encourage Sarasota business executives and leaders to watch the latest webinars and sign up for the Series. “The information you will receive is vital the keeping your business protected, secure and prepared for interruptions of any kind,” says Ed McCrane, Chief of Emergency Operations at the Sarasota EOC.
