The AutoSoft Service Quoting system gives service departments the capability to make an accurate quote, store information and with a click of a button, dump it to a repair order. Service Quoting allows for customer follow-up to generate additional income from declined quotes at a later date.
Jim Johnson, service manager at Town & Country Sales in Quinnesec, Michigan services 350 vehicles per month and averages 150 quotes a month.
Since Johnson has been using the AutoSoft Service Quoting system, he has seen his effective labor rate increase by $3 an hour. “A lot of that has been due to the enhancement of the Service Quoting system because it has a more accurate rate,” said Johnson.
By using Service Quoting, service advisors are able to make regular quotes and turn them into profits. Town & Country Sales has seen their repair order conversion rate increase by 30 percent. “Service Quoting has given us the ability to do more because we have the ability to convert more ROs,” said Johnson.
Ralph Galiano, service manager at Hendren Chevrolet in Pineville, Missouri services approximately 100 cars monthly and has increased profit by $50 a day.
The Service Quoting system, located inside of the Service module of the DMS, increases efficiency by eliminating the need to constantly change labor rates. “The biggest advantage with the AutoSoft Service Quoting system is that it’s in our system. It’s our rate. No one has to do additional calculations,” said Johnson.
The AutoSoft Service Quoting System makes it easy to pull up vehicle information by the VIN. By inputting the VIN in the quoting system you can easily bring up information pertaining to that vehicle, eliminating the need to build the vehicle every time.
Johnson said he now requires his staff to write quotes from the AutoSoft system. If the quote is made and the job isn’t sold immediately, he is able to track the quote and enforce accountability by tracking the advisor who originally made the quote.
“I have to do parts, service and I’ve got to talk to the customers and sell it. It saves me time and money,” said Galiano.
