Ploughcroft have donated a solar panel system and installation for free to Shadows and Green who are organising a Black Tie Dinner & Dance on Friday 5th August in aid of Little Heroes.
As a local Charity ‘Little Heroes’ supports children in hospital with cancer, and their families – aiming to put a smile on their face, as these children go through painful but essential treatment.
Tickets for the evening are on sale at £35 each or £350 for a table of ten. The venue is the Midland Hotel Bradford, in the recently upgraded Princess Ballroom. This event - with a Yorkshire theme, starts from 6.00 p.m.
We aim to highlight the work of Little Heroes and to raise vital funds to enable them to carry on putting a smile on the faces of children with cancer, for years to come. The charity has great plans for the future, and Shadows in Green are privileged to be in a position to support them. So far, a number of local businesses and individuals have responded to our request for donations & ticket purchases.
Most notable is Ploughcroft, based in Brighouse. They have very generously helped to sponsor the event by donating a gift to raise money by prize draw. Tickets are now on sale at £20 – for a chance to win a full domestic solar panel system worth over £9,000! This system is capable of generating up to £700 worth of energy ‘feed in tariff’ every year for the next 25 years.
The evening will be filled with entertainment; and as well as a sumptuous meal we will be holding a charity auction. All the items are being sourced locally with the generous support of local businesses and organisations. Our main guest speaker is the highly entertaining local historian and author - Ian Dewhirst, MBE.
As a Community Interest Company and Social Enterprise, Shadows in Green C.I.C. helps organisations, people and places to fully realise their potential.
Little Heroes inspired us with their strength and dedication. We believe that, even as a small charity, they do change lives for the better for many children and their families. Their reputation is not just strong locally; they have recently finished delivering toys and putting a smile on the faces of children in cancer wards across the whole of the UK. Such dedication deserves our continued support.
