We can now provide the services of a criminal defense lawyer to anyone in these communities who is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances
North Olmsted, OH (PRWEB) July 28, 2011
Patituce & Associates, the Cleveland-area law firm, has announced it has made DUI defense services available in the cities of Akron, Ravenna and Medina, Ohio, according to Joseph C. Patituce, Managing Partner and owner of the legal practice.
“We can now provide the services of a criminal defense lawyer to anyone in these communities who is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances,” said Patituce. “We are delighted to make our expertise in this practice area more widely available south and east of Cleveland.”
According to Patituce, charges that are commonly referred to as DUI, which stands for driving under the influence, are officially termed OVI in Ohio, or Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated or Impaired. He said that the OVI laws in the state have been among the toughest in the nation for nearly two decades.
“That’s why a DUI lawyer in our firm must be aggressive on behalf of a client. OVI is a very serious allegation. We want to make certain that our friends in Akron, Ravenna and Medina know that they have a right to legal representation when they face these charges. We want them to know that they have a right to challenge the results of roadside and chemical blood alcohol tests. We want them to know that the observations of law enforcement are not infallible.”
Patituce pointed out that his firm is available to represent clients in criminal court, and will also advise and represent them as their case goes before the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles, which will consider revocation of driving privileges.
“We have proven for our clients that the service of a DUI law firm can be essential. We have had clients say that they are very glad that they did not go to their town lawyer for something like this. Our understanding of the driver license procedures, and the criminal procedures, gives every case a head start.”
Joseph C. Patituce completed his juris doctorate at Cleveland Marshall College of Law. He is admitted to the bar for practice in the State of Ohio, and in the Northern District of Federal Court in Ohio.
