EC Hispanic Media announces the successful completion of Su Socio de Negocios breakfast series which attracted a record crowd of 180 attendees. Su Socio de Negocios is EC Hispanic Media’s small business program which consists of a breakfast series throughout the year, a small business EXPO and online educational tools. Through its Su Socio de Negocios program, EC Hispanic Media brings together national and regional brands and sponsors to micro business owners in the Hispanic market.

Despite the rarity of integrating spirituality and business, motivational speaker Mabel Katz succeeded in delivering a winning speech that links the two philosophies. Attendees to the breakfast this past weekend were treated to Ms. Katz’s perspective on business: Do what makes you happy and success will follow.

"It was just what I needed to move forward with my business," said Luz Cabañas, flower shop owner who began her business as a hobby but slowly became more than that. "Now I can convince my husband, who was present during the speech, to continue making my floral arrangements, which are my true passion. I love it."

This sentiment is precisely what Ms. Katz was trying to convey during her “Dare to start the business you always wanted” speech. “Ms. Katz’s own personal journey is reflective of the aspirations that many Hispanic entrepreneurs and micro business owners have. After leaving her native Argentina for the U.S., Ms. Katz worked as an accountant for many years before realizing that it wasn't her true calling. Her motivational speaker career was born out of a painful but honest exchange with her son who challenged her to follow her dreams and what she really loved.
