Next Generation iNAC II Provides Enhanced Capabilities for Correctional Institutions

The iNAC II provides correctional institutions with unmatched capabilities for controlling cell phone contraband within a correctional facility.

Tecore Networks, a global supplier of multi-technology mobile network infrastructure, today announced the release of its next generation Managed Access platform “iNAC II”. With increased focus on architecture enhancements and reduced cost, the new iNAC II is now within economic reach for a broader base of correctional institutions.

As smuggled contraband cell phones have become smaller and more sophisticated, they pose an increasing threat to public safety and law enforcement. The desire for unmonitored communications by inmates has reached epidemic levels for many correctional facilities.

Tecore Networks is the pioneer of Managed Access and Call-Capture systems for secure environments. With over twenty years of industry leading experience in providing wireless networks around the globe, Tecore recognized the need for additional performance and lower cost alternatives for their correctional customers.

The iNAC II provides a legal alternative for contraband cell phone control. Once deployed, the iNAC takes control of contraband devices while continuing to allow authorized users and key personnel access to commercial networks. The system also provides unique capabilities in support of important regulatory requirements such as controlled access to 911 emergency centers as well as extensive forensic capabilities. The technology has a proven track record, in some cases blocking over a million unauthorized attempts from contraband devices in the first months of deployment.

“The iNAC II provides correctional institutions with unmatched capabilities for controlling cell phone contraband within a correctional facility,” said Tim Murphy, Vice President of Sales of Managed Access Products at Tecore Networks, “With the optimized cost and increased performance, the technology is now more accessible to a broader base of institutions.”
