The Ghost Light Group is dedicated to creating provocative and innovative theatre through action-based Play.
Minneapolis, Minnesota (PRWEB) July 29, 2011
The five founders of fledgling theatre company The Ghost Light Group would like to invite theatre fans to their introductory celebration. Dedicated to creating provocative and innovative theatre through action-based play, The Ghost Light Group is following in the footsteps of their host, Red Eye Theater- whose dedication to the development of new works has allowed the group to create their own.
Their inaugural work is titled “BANG-BANG, Miss American Pie” and serves as an exploration of American culture through the explicit voices of Generation Y. The piece focuses on four young intellectuals dealing with their American-identity-crisis in the face of a national tragedy. Written by founding member and NFAA Young ARTS Silver Award Recipient Cristina Florencia Castro and created by the ensemble: Josh Allen, Celeste Busa, Brendan Frost and Katie Weber.
The Ghost Light Group is ecstatic to be previewing a short excerpt of the piece, which is slated for full production in November, at their coming-out party on Friday August 5th at 8:00pm, located at Red Eye Theater in the Loring Park neighborhood. A reception and party to follow.
