The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun Appoints Sergio Serra as New Director Of Sales and Marketing

Third generation hotelier Sergio Serra has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing of The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun. In this new endeavor, he will lead the sales, marketing and communications initiatives for the AAA Five Diamond oceanfront resort that includes 365 perfectly appointed ocean view rooms, six restaurants, a Ritz-Carlton Spa, 27,000-square-foot Meeting Facilities and the only Viking® Culinary Center in Mexico.

Mr. Serra joins The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun from Hilton Worldwide where he held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing at Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort. In his previous role, he was accountable for developing and implementing innovative integrated sales and marketing programs, driving sales and creating cohesive teams that consistently exceed goals -under his wings, the sales division was a two-time recipient of the Circle of Excellence Award for Best Sales Team of the Year in The Americas. Additionally, he was also responsible for launching and positioning three independent business units including the Peninsula Convention Center.

With his depth of knowledge in all sectors of the industry including new prominent communications channels like social media, Mr. Serra is a collaborative and hands-on leader who will successfully contribute in the continued success of the Caribbean oceanfront resort, consistently ranked among the best in Mexico.

Spanish native, Sergio Serra holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration an a Master’s Degree in Business Administration by the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. He is also an active member of PCMA.
