With more than 5,000 awards, Temecula Valley Southern California Wine Country is gaining well-deserved recognition. September celebrates California Wine Month with a SIP Passport; special savings throughout the month and a self-guided tour enable passport holders to savor wines at 5 of the valley's more than 30 wineries.
September 10 is CRUSH, the Wine & Culinary Showcase with all winery owners, winemakers, and grape growers from throughout the valley. Chefs will mingle amongst the guests sampling local wines along with the culinary creations of both winery and local restaurants.
Throughout September - and October and November - there is more Temecula Valley So Cal Wining and Dining to be enjoyed. The delicious travel tradition pairs wines with menus featuring fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. Downtown Old Town Temecula restaurants include Baily's, Front Street Bar & Grill, The Bank Mexican Restaurant, The Edge, The Gambling Cowboy, Palumbo's Ristorante, The Public House, and Soro's Mediterranean Grill. Temecula Valley Signature Events
The Temecula Valley International Film and Music Festival (September 14-18) hosts films and music of contemporary filmmakers and music artists from across America and around the globe. Events include opening night festivities, four days of film screenings, a two-day MusicFest, film and music industry workshops, closing night black-tie gala, plus BEST OF THE FEST.
For the Old Town Temecula Quilt Show (October 1) hundreds of quilts and thousands of yards of fabric will turn the 12-block, hip and historic district into a colorful, autumn display.
The Old Town Temecula Fall Rod Run (October 7-8) attracts hundreds of the finest, pre-1974 vehicles and 30,000 auto enthusiasts for Friday Night Cruise and Saturday Show and Shine.
The Harvest Celebration Barrel Tasting in Temecula Valley So Cal Wine Country (November 5 and 6) is a self-guided, two-day, food and wine adventure at more than 30 wineries. At each stop: delicious foods and wine samplings, and barrel and/or tank samples of finished and unfinished wines often not available to the general public.
Autumnfest Music and Entertainment
Pechanga Resort & Casino's Autumnfest concert series kicks-off with rock-band Daughtry and features great entertainers like singing-legend Diana Ross, comedy super-star George Lopez, Merle Haggard and Kris Kristofferson on stage together, country-music star Darius Rucker, the heavy metal and glam metal Kid Row and Warrant, and 'diva de la banda' Jenni Rivera.
Thornton Winery’s Champagne Jazz concert series showcases talents like Grammy-winning George Benson with keyboardist Brian Simpson, Grammy-winning trumpeter Chris Botti, and contemporary jazz band The Rippingtons with English smooth jazz Acoustic Alchemy.
