Chicago, IL (PRWEB) August 11, 2011
Ifbyphone®, a voice-based marketing automation platform, announced today that it has relocated its headquarters from Skokie, Ill., to 300 West Adams Street, a premier location in Chicago’s West Loop. The new 21,000-square-foot office will accommodate a rapidly growing workforce and enable employees to better serve Ifbyphone’s exploding client base. Sales at Ifbyphone have more than doubled within the past three years.
The new office space, which marks the seventh-largest lease in Chicago this year, is located across from the Willis Tower and occupies the entire 9th floor of a historic 1928 building that has recently been LEED-certified.
“We’re making a mark on Chicago’s innovative tech scene by offering a suite of voice-based marketing automation technology that meets a unique, unmet market need for businesses,” said Irv Shapiro, CEO of Ifbyphone. “This gives businesses the ability to not only measure but optimize something they previously weren’t able to measure: voice communications. Our office relocation is simply a result of our tremendous growth, which validates our value proposition in the marketplace.”
Ifbyphone has defined the accelerating voice-based marketing automation space, which focuses on managing, measuring and automating voice interactions in one convenient platform. With disparate marketing automation and call tracking technologies on the market today, businesses have not had an adequate solution to address the increasing demands to simultaneously drive sales, reduce collection cycles, measure marketing effectiveness and improve customer experience.
Ifbyphone’s innovation is not limited to its technology, however, as the company is also emerging as a workplace leader as well. Having recently been named as one of Chicago’s “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For,” Ifbyphone continues to invest in its workforce and anticipates the new location will give them even better access to talent in the heart of the city.
Ifbyphone’s business model includes rather progressive hiring tactics, seeking individuals Shapiro refers to as “SWANS”: those who are S(mart), W(ork hard), A(mbitious) and N(ice). Shapiro believes that a person who fits these qualities, opposed to an individual who simply matches a job description, brings fresh thinking to a company. And the approach is paying off; over the past two years, headcount has grown by 130%.
“We do a lot to keep our employees happy. Whether it’s offering incentives, publicly recognizing individuals for good work, or presenting them with special rewards, their happiness and well-being is always a top priority,” said Shapiro. Ifbyphone also has a comprehensive approach to compensation and benefits, providing cash incentives and bonuses for excellent work, and giving stock options to all employees.
The new office will simply enhance Ifbyphone’s dynamic work culture. Custom-built to fit its business, the office’s loft-style space is representative of Shapiro’s “work hard, play hard” mentality. Colorful chalkboard columns and giant white boards foster creative learning and open communication, while a “think room” and lounge spaces – installed with acoustic clouds – are used for meetings and impromptu brainstorming sessions. The kitchen has free drinks, and the break room comes fully equipped with a Ping-Pong table, putting green, Xbox and pinball machine.
Echoing his company’s success, Shapiro himself has been recognized as a high tech thought leader in Chicago. Earlier this year he was named a finalist for the Illinois Technology Association (ITA) CityLIGHTS award as Technologist of the Year, and he recently spoke at the Governor’s press conference about the Technology Development Account (TDA) bill signing, as part of Chicago’s TechWeek. Shapiro is an advocate for this movement, which strives to attract, assist and retain quality technology businesses in Illinois. The TDA has helped create and grow 26 Illinois companies to date.
Under Shapiro’s leadership, Ifbyphone is also being recognized as one of three Chicago companies — alongside GrubHub and Viewpoints — in the running to win the prestigious Merrick Momentum Award through the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center (CEC). The award recognizes entrepreneurial companies that have demonstrated momentum since their inception and are poised for continued growth.
