Westerville, Ohio-based Hondros College has received approval from the Ohio Board of Regents and the Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools to offer its first Bachelor's Degree program in the College’s 40-year history.
Students have been able to earn an Associate degree in the Applied Business of Real Estate as well as an Associate Degree in Nursing from the College since 1999 and 2006, respectively. Now, students will be able to complete an RN-BSN completion program and earn a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Hondros College.
“This is a huge milestone in Hondros College’s history, and we are proud to be able to offer a program that serves the adult learner by allowing them to advance their career in an industry that is in high demand by Ohio employers,” said Linda Hondros, president of Hondros College.
The RN to BSN program was designed with the working adult student in mind, and is delivered completely online.
Students are able to complete the RN-BSN degree program in 12 months, and will be able to enroll into the program on a quarterly basis. Students new to the field of nursing can complete a 1+2+1 program at Hondros College, and will earn their licenses in Practical Nursing and Registered Nursing as they complete the BSN program. This format provides students flexibility to enter the workforce or continue their education as their life allows, and makes it possible for students to earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing in just three and a half years.
The first RN-BSN class starts in October 2011, but enrollment is now open. For more information, visit nursing.hondros.edu to register for an information session, or call 888-HONDROS.
