Official NPF footwear brand, Ringor http://www.ringor.com, is once again proud to support the 2011 NPF Championship Series and present the annual Ringor Cup award to the NPF regular season champions. Last season’s Ringor Cup recipients, the Chicago Bandits, will pass the torch this year to USSSA Florida Pride.
“We’re excited to participate in this elite event, and proud to support the NPF and these inspiring athletes. It’s great to see the sport gaining so much momentum, and ESPN’s coverage of the finals is further evidence that NPF is increasing the level of fastpitch,” says Kirk Ihlenburg/CEO, Ringor.
The event will feature all four NPF teams competing in tournament format action over the weekend of August 18 through the 21st. ESPN’s Final Series coverage begins at 8:00pm ET Saturday, August 20th with the first game. Game 2 of the Final Series will take place live on ESPN2 and ESPN3.com Sunday August 21, at 2pm, EST.
Ringor has had a clear mission and targeted products from the start. Founded in 1983, the company identified a need and created a niche in women’s fastpitch softball. In their effort to develop a softball shoe that would reduce the injuries caused by the traditional three spike and post cleat designs, Ringor started working directly with athletes. Their focus on gaining a more intimate understanding of athletes’ comfort and performance needs resulted in the first cleated softball shoe ever to be awarded the Seal of Acceptance by the American Podiatric Medical Association http://twurl.nl/b33ure. The award honors their achievement in promoting the highest standard of foot function and foot health during play. Today, Ringor continues to set new benchmarks for athletic footwear. High standards and a low profile have earned Ringor great respect among all level of players who depend on the excellent quality of their shoes:
