RINGOR award to be handed out this week to the 2011 National Pro Fastpitch stolen base champion.

On August 18th the annual Ringor Diamond Spike Award will be awarded to the player with the most stolen bases during the 2011 regular season. The benchmark was set last year by Akron Racers award recipient, Lisa Modglin, who finished the 2010 season with 17 stolen bases. Although there aren’t too many things in life that people can feel good about stealing, this is one instance where the act is an honor, and the recipient should feel proud.
