FuegoMundo is now the first Kosher South American restaurant in the US. Owner Masha Hleap-Hershkovitz, together with husband, Udi Hershkovitz have taken the menu at their successful Sandy Springs restaurant and made it Kosher.

FuegoMundo opened its doors two years ago in June 2009, as the first of its kind restaurant in the USA. The restaurant offers an authentic and healthy taste of South American cuisine spanning the entire continent. The menu includes dishes from Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, El Salvador, Cuba, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and more. Entrees are cooked over a wood-fire grill and marinated with authentic South American flavors.

The owners reviewed over 2,000 customer feedback cards for the past two years and considered trends in nutrition, the restaurant business, and their neighborhood before making the changes. The native born Colombian owner, Masha Hleap-Hershkovitz, together with husband, Udi Hershkovitz, decided to implement bold changes in the way they do business, and the response from the Atlanta community has been tremendously positive.

In addition to being Kosher, there are menu options for vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free and dairy-free restrictive diet.
