Customers are the backbone to any business, obviously, but not every company takes this concept to heart. Some care more about the money than the satisfaction of supplying quality service. To combat this ever-growing trend of “Money First, Customer Second,” FrightCatalog.com is starting its “Almost” Everyday Giveaway Contest Campaign. Nearly every day from now until Halloween, FrightCatalog.com will be giving away Halloween costumes, props, or decorations, all for free, all because the customer comes first.
“The contest campaign serves many purposes,” said Shawn Desroches, Manager of Customer Relations. “Sure, we draw attention to our company, but it's more selfish than that: we're getting excited about Halloween. This is such a niche business that you have to have a passion for it, and we love when other people get as excited as us. It's this snowball effect that keeps growing and growing, until it explodes for one whole night. By giving away these products we get others excited, without having them pay for anything.” When asked about what kind of products they were giving away, Mr. Desroches said, “The price ranges vary greatly. We once gave away an electric chair prop. It zapped and whistled and did all kinds of stuff. The thing was worth a couple thousand dollars. That was really, really exciting. We just love giving away stuff!”
The contest campaign is spearheaded through FrightCatalog.com's Facebook page. Simply “Like” the company's page and you will be open to enter into any number of their daily contests. “The contests focus on subjective winning requirements,” said Mr. Desroches. “We'll ask people to name a prop, for example, and the comment with the most 'Likes' will win.” The subjective winning requirements help to ensure that everyone has a chance of winning. It is not a first-come, first-served policy. Even those that show up late can have a chance to win, if they get enough people to “Like” their comment.
With Halloween still a few weeks away, you have plenty of chances to score yourself some free goodies. Entering is easy, winning is easy, and none of it costs you a penny.
