As Employee Happiness Levels Sink, I Love Rewards Helps Employers Motivate the Workforce
San Francisco & Toronto, August 17, 2011: I Love Rewards, the leader in employee rewards and recognition solutions, offers creative and cost effective solutions to combat employee dissatisfaction and motivate the workforce, especially at a time when employee dissatisfaction is on the rise. According the Mercer What's Working ™ Survey, over 50% of employees worldwide are looking to leave their job. I Love Rewards' Social Recognition™ platform provides employers the tools to counter dissatisfaction by recognizing employees, offering meaningful rewards and driving motivation.
"Disengaged employees cost organizations too much money in turnover and diminished productivity," says Razor Suleman, CEO and founder, I Love Rewards. "Lately companies have tried to save money by freezing salaries or decreasing benefits. Instead, they need to think outside the box to engage and recognize employees. I Love Rewards uses its technology to help managers recognize and reward top performers and engage the workforce with minimal spend."
Since the Great Recession in 2008, employees have shouldered the workload of their laid-off coworkers, often without receiving raises or promotions. This additional strain has lead 21% of employees to give their employers unfavorable ratings, according to the What's Working ™ Survey. Employees feel that they are not being delivered what was promised to them, financially or in terms of career growth.
As a result, 32% of American workers are currently looking to leave their organization, compared to 23% in 2005. The survey, which was conducted over the past two quarters and polled 30,000 workers in 17 countries, found that employees feel underappreciated in the workplace. Unhappy employees present many problems for employers, and failing to address the issue costs companies in the long run. Not only does it cause poor retention rates, but an unmotivated workforce dramatically reduces productivity and business growth.
Mindy Fox, senior partner at Mercer, recommends that organizations "re-examine their deals both the traditional and non-traditional elements – then support them with effective administration and consistent, authentic communication that fosters a sense of belonging and helps employees make better rewards choices and career decisions."
I Love Rewards enables managers to give specific, timely recognition to employees through a fully customized web-based program with all-inclusive features including 360 degree recognition, social recognition, customer feedback modules, on-demand reporting and analytics, dashboards, newsfeed, leader boards, program launch training, monthly releases, and marketing communication materials. The interactive platform provides performance-based recognition and rewards in the form of points that can be redeemed for meaningful rewards including Apple electronics, Visa Reward Cards, and Expedia travel.
