MultiCam Southeast is equipping all of its field service technicians with an integrated, portable technology platform that utilizes tablet computers, mobile wi-fi hotspots, and multiple software applications.
The new technology enables MultiCam Southeast technicians to create billing summaries onsite at customer facilities complete with part numbers and service notes. The new system also allows onsite creation of warranty claim forms and machine installation reports. Customers may indicate their approval by signing forms electronically on the pad-like computer with a stylus. Forms including signatures are emailed for processing and stored for future reference in a cloud-based database.
The tablet includes an integrated high resolution camera, so MultiCam Southeast technicians may attach photographs to forms or save them in a customer’s file. Photographs of the customer’s equipment will help with diagnostics, identification of parts, and keeping records of the customer’s configuration for future reference.
