Healthcare Solutions today announced the appointment of Joe Boures to the position of chief operating officer (COO). Boures joins the Atlanta-based company with extensive experience in executive management positions within the workers’ compensation market. In his new role as COO, Boures will provide direction and oversight for the company’s current and emerging product offerings, as well as information technology, legal and human resources functions.

Prior to joining Healthcare Solutions, Boures served as president for Specialty Risk Services, Inc. (SRS), a subsidiary of The Hartford Financial Services Group, which was recently sold to Sedgwick Claims Management Services. As president, he oversaw all facets of the SRS operations, including business development, account management and field operations.
Prior to this appointment, Boures served in deputy controller and strategic business development positions for The Hartford. Before joining the Hartford, Joe served as vice president and controller with GAB Robins North America and as assistant vice president of internal audit at Continental Insurance Company.
