Search Mojo’s Lindsay Keller and Team Win Americas Region in Google’s Online Marketing Challenge

Search Mojo proudly announces that Lindsay Keller, a Jr. Account Manager at the firm, along with her fellow teammates, were named today as the winners of the Google Online Marketing Challenge for the Americas region. Lindsay and her fellow teammates will travel to the Googleplex, Google’s global headquarters, in California in October. This is the second time in three years that a team from James Madison University (JMU) has won the Americas award.

The Google Online Marketing Challenge is a global competition sponsored by Google each year. Student teams are given $200 in free advertising credit by Google to promote a real business using the Google AdWords advertising platform. This year’s challenge involved over 35,000 students from 95 countries. The winners are split into four global regions, with the Americas region consisting of participants from North America, Central America and South America. Dr. Theresa B. Clarke, Professor of Marketing at JMU’s College of Business, teaches the Google Online Marketing Challenge course, and Search Mojo has actively participated with the JMU teams each year, helping students understand the inner workings of Google AdWords to maximize performance and results.
