The Quest for the Vile written by W. F. Thompson is at Amazon and Barnes and Nobles websites on sale now.
Tales of vampires have been around for hundreds of years. Vlad the Impaler (1400’S) pretty much began the trend of vampire movies and books beginning with imaginative stories of Nosferatu and on to Boris Karloff as Dracula and on to today. The actual vampire stories began well before Vlad in small villages in Europe and the Middle East that warned of vampire witches and fairies, and the people believed in it. The standard of the tale has always been one kind of story, Dracula overcomes victim then bites victim and victim becomes vampire. That same story has been told several different ways but always has the same cliché happenings by the vampire and the same cliché endings. This story trends away from the cliché somewhat for the sake of something fresh and somewhat different. However, the novelty of the vampire remains entrenched in the tale and deals with tragedy, longing, belonging, humanity, and humility in a nonconforming way.
The Quest for the Vile available at Amazon and Barnes and Nobles websites takes the reader on a quest of twists and humor as well as the dark vampire side with a different variation from standard vampire tales. The Quest for the Vile by W. F. Thompson, Copyright 2005 listed at Amazon and Barnes and Nobles websites in August 2011.
