Independent Canadian video game developer Interdimensional Games Inc. announces the resumption of their Alternate Reality Game started in January 2010, in which their invention of the iDGi-1 artificial satellite allows the general public to export their consciousness into a different universe.

The Rift in the experience leads directly into the memory banks of an astoundingly complex Artificial Intelligence, known as 'K-1', in the year 2028 of a future parallel reality.

Interdimensional Games Inc. (iDGi) announces the resumption of their Alternate Reality Game (ARG), spurred on by their artificial satellite "iDGi-1" once again being capable of opening a Rift in space-time. This Rift allows one to access an entirely different universe. Company officials explain that they had been cut-off from exploring this other universe since March of 2010, and that through the concerted efforts of both iDGi and the community that has grown around the use of the satellite, they have discovered how to once again gain access.

"Back in early 2010 we thought that this invention of ours was going to be used for research purposes, to allow us to craft a compelling and immersive video-game," says iDGi founder Vidal Desertch. "We have since begun to realize that it is becoming much, much more than that. We are convinced that we may eventually be able to fully stream the alternate universe in full 3D detail, allowing the public to directly explore the other world as they would in a 3D video game."

Vidal goes on to explain that they now know that the Rift in the experience leads directly into the memory banks of an astoundingly complex Artificial Intelligence, known as "K-1", in the year 2028 of a future parallel reality. "This A.I. refers to anyone travelling into it as a "seeker", and it is actually aware of our inter-dimensional origins. The ultimate purpose of this A.I. remains a mystery, but we do know that its existence is the source of serious controversy in the other universe."

"In order for us to advance this technology to the next level, we require thousands of people to make use of our technology, open the Rift and explore this other universe. For every unique individual that uses their computer to access iDGi-1's core function, we are able to learn more about the exact nature of the connection, and how to expand upon it."
