Wastequip’s Toter division has launched Toter Custom Solutions, offering rotational molding services and custom compounding.
As the largest industrial rotomolder in the nation, Toter has decades of design and production experience manufacturing carts, containers and material handling products for the waste and recycling industry. This production and engineering expertise allows customers from a variety of industries – automotive, marine, material handling, consumer products and others – to get high quality products produced quickly. Toter Custom Solutions has multiple manufacturing locations and the equipment capacity to meet the demands of high-volume customers. Toter also has expanded engineering resources to ensure product designs are production ready, allowing partners to bring in new and existing products to market efficiently.
Production capabilities include custom colors such as granite colors, multi-colored in-mold and post-mold graphics, mold-in inserts and hot stamping. As a full service provider, Toter Customs Solutions offers ancillary services including injection and blow molding, trimming and finishing, final product assembly, steel fabrication, cut and sew operations, warehousing and logistics.
Toter Custom Solutions also offers custom material compounding, producing plastic pellet and power blends to meet customers’ specifications. Custom Solutions’ partners can leverage Wastequip’s supply chain and Toter’s status as a large industrial rotomolder to acquire polyethylene and other plastics needed for production in the most economical manner. Toter Custom Solutions can create custom blends incorporating virgin polyethylene and/or recycled material from the company’s in-house polyethylene recycling operation. Using micro pelletizing technology, Toter Custom Solutions can produce custom granite color blends to enhance product aesthetics. Engineering support for material testing is also available.
“We formed Toter Custom Solutions in response to demand from customers who approached us with custom molding opportunities,” said Jeff Gilliam, president of Wastequip’s specialty products division. “Toter is the leader in rotational molding which allows customers to leverage our considerable design experience, purchasing power and production capacity. We are excited about this new business venture and are already working on a number of new projects that will leverage our capabilities to help customers bring their concepts to market quickly and cost effectively.”
