InventHelp®, America’s largest inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Georgia, has designed modified blood-collection labels for pediatric tubes. This invention is patented.
“Pedi-Peelz” could eliminate the need to use traditional labels, which are typically too large for pediatric tubes. The smaller labels would wrap around the tube without obscuring the caregiver’s view, which would ensure that a sufficient amount of blood is drawn. This design could help a medical technologist to report accurate laboratory results in a timely manner, thus promoting an efficient healthcare process.
Pedi-Peelz would consist of a rectangular-shaped pediatric-tube label. The label would measure approximately 2 inches long and 1-1/5 inches wide. The rear portion would include a removable backing that would reveal an adhesive strip to attach the label to the tube. The adhesive strip would measure approximately 3/5 inches long and 1-1/5 inches wide. The front of the label would include space to write down the patient’s information, bar code, test and date/time. Pedi-Peelz could also be suitable for use with tubes for forensics collections.
InventHelp® is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor. For more information, telephone Dept. 09-AAD-627 at (800) 851-6030.
