MultiAd, Inc., a leading provider of advertising products and services, has donated more than 10,000 pounds of food and household items to a number of local charities in the last eight months. Among the numerous charities are the Center for Prevention of Abuse, Peoria Rescue Ministries, Heart of Illinois Harvest and PAWS.

In addition, MultiAd continued its 15-year involvement with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by raising $6,000 for the 34th Annual St. Jude Telethon as a three-minute-match sponsor while several employees donated their time to St. Jude by volunteering at the telethon and participating in various St. Jude fund-raising runs. In total, the telethon raised nearly seven million dollars.

The vast majority of MultiAd’s charitable donations are made possible through the cooperation of its clients. Hundreds of consumer goods companies such as Kraft Foods, ConAgra, Dial, Hormel Foods, L’Oreal and Unilever send in large amounts of food and household products for high quality photography, data collection, asset management and content distribution services. Once the work is completed, MultiAd donates the items to a vast network of local charities.

“The Center (for Prevention of Abuse) is extremely grateful for the generous donations of food products, health and beauty aids and household products,” said Martha Herm, executive director at the Center for Prevention of Abuse. “We are indebted to MultiAd for its generosity and concern for members of our community.”

In addition to corporate-level support, MultiAd employees are independently involved with non-profit organizations such as their fund-raising efforts on behalf of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure (the breast cancer foundation). They also hosted a number of blood drives for the American Red Cross.

“We appreciate and encourage the continuing volunteer efforts of our employees on behalf of these important organizations,” said John F. Kocher, MultiAd executive vice president, “just as we believe it is equally important for us as a company to step up and help on their behalf.”
