Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 22, 2011
RCN, innovative provider of cable and internet in the Chicago area, is very excited to announce their sponsorship of The Anti-Cruelty Society’s annual “It’s Raining Cats & Dogs” gala. The event takes place on Friday, October 21, 2011 at the Palmer Hilton Chicago. The Anti-Cruelty Society is Chicago’s oldest and largest private, open admission, unlimited stay humane society. On an annual basis, they help find homes for over 5,000 cats and dogs. In addition, they provide programs and services to over 50,000 animals and humans each year. These include: adoptions, (low or no-cost) spay/neuter clinic services, cruelty investigations, humane education, a free behavior hotline, dog training classes, rehabilitation and treatment centers and a charity veterinary clinic.
No city, state, federal or funding from any other national humane organization supports the work of The Anti-Cruelty Society. Over 75% of their funding comes from caring individuals, foundations and corporations. Chicago cable provider RCN is proud to offer support to this wonderful cause by producing a Public Service Announcement (PSA) about The Anti-Cruelty Society’s second biggest fundraiser of the year, the “It’s Raining Cats and Dogs” gala. Between production costs and airing it on their Chicago cable cross channel networks, RCN will be donating more than $20,000 in in-kind sponsorship.
Tickets to the event are $175 in advance or $200 on the day of the gala. Or purchase a table of eight for your company for $2,000. The evening will include amazing tastes from over 25 extraordinary Chicago chefs, live music, Master of Ceremonies NBC5’s Andy Avalos, complimentary bars and more. You’ll also be able to interact with some of their furry residents! There will be silent auction tables featuring fabulous items such as a mountain bike from Kozy Cyclery, a two hour trapeze lesson at TSNY Chicago, a Professional KitchenAid stand mixer, two tickets to the opening performance of “Fiddler on the Roof” at the Auditorium Theatre, sparkling jewelry from AM Feldman, shopping dining and spa certificates, fitness club memberships, as well as some fun things for pets. For the Live Auction portion of the event, attendees will be able to bid on the following exciting prizes: a photo on the cover of the Society’s 2011 Annual Edition, a three hour private cruise on Lake Michigan with 15 guests, a Cubs Skybox (game to be determined), a Buffalo Trace Distillery one-of-a-kind Millennium Barrel Bottle, and more!
