Air Feathers Eco-Chic Boutique and Feather Bar will host an open house/grand opening on Fashion's Night Out, September 8th in Escondido CA.
The creative arts district in downtown Escondido celebrates artists and unique retailers, and Air Feathers is a new addition to this growing area.
Special FNO event merchandise and feathers will be on hand to fund raise for The Reeve Foundation. Airie McCready's Air Feather Extensions company will be presenting a check to a representative of The Reeve Foundation on that night for money already raised by the sales of their Fairie Feather Extensions nationwide.
The boutique not only features McCready's signature product,the Fairie Feather, but showcases such products as Vers Audio, Diamonds Are Evil, Hair Royalty Accessories, Mudpuppy by Mike McDowell and Roesche Alpaca Felted Soaps. Air Feathers will also be the first in the United States to have "Miss Be," an amazing line of hand made resin jewelry with feathers and spices encased within from Australia.
Being a "hair extension boutique" as well, McCready's favorite hair product, Eufora, will also be sold there in small sizes. Almost all products carried give back to a charity, the earth, or help support small business and unknown artisans.
The debut of McCready's new product, a completely synthetic, vegan friendly "feather" will also happen on that night. After the run away success of the Fairie Feather, the only hand colored, cruelty free no-kill feather extension on the market, McCready bets that the new synthetic will be even more popular with an eco and cost conscious client.

McCready believes that the passion of herself and staff, along with an earnest desire to give back has launched her business this quickly.
"These are a great alternative to the traditional feathers," says Emma England, a military wife and Air Feather's own inventory specialist. "Her colors are amazing and she always tries to do some sort of fundraising or donation with everything she does."
England says she is going to put out the word to the local military community about the grand opening. "So many spinal injuries happen in battle," she says, "that this is a charity I want to support."
McCready hopes that her altruistic attitude will affect other retailers, and wants to set a high standard for her industry.
"The hair and beauty industry does an amazing amount of fundraising," she says, "and though this is not an actual salon I want to keep that good karma going."
Air Feathers is a first-featuring the only "Feather Bar" where the public can come and get feather, synthetic, wool, almost any type of ornament put in their hair, as well as learn to care for their new accessory.
