Biodex Medical Systems, Inc., Shirley, New York, is now part of the blogosphere with monthly blogs written by company representatives in each of the three markets the company serves: Physical Medicine, Medical Imaging and Nuclear Medicine. Each of the blogs will be written for industry members and other interested parties, encouraging readers to respond to each author’s email addresses. Comments will be answered and published in a timely manner, when appropriate.
Biodex recognizes the immediate need to communicate with its network of customers on a more informal basis and blogging accomplishes this. “We are very excited to have our company bloggers deliver important information with the goal to create a better understanding of our products, programs and services for our customers. The blogs give us a vehicle to share interesting tidbits with an opportunity to receive feedback,” stated Lila Corwin, director of marketing communications, adding, “We are looking forward to engaging with our customers in all our markets, throughout the world, in nearly 100 countries!”
With the first of many blogs to now come live, bloggers include: Ann Marie Alessi, product sales manager for nuclear medicine, writing on happenings in the nuclear medicine industry; Bob Ranieri, vice president of sales and Rich Schubert product sales manager for medical imaging and Karen Johnson marketing promotions manager with Don Gronachan, director, product medicine sales. Topics will range from technology to detect a patient at risk of falling, to ergonomic design for medical imaging tables, to the latest in dose calibration. “Our decision to publish these blogs was simple—based on recent trends and what customers want to hear,” explained Corwin. The blogs are part of the company’s newly redesigned website.
