Fielding strong interest from home care agencies after the announcement of their intention to release Procura Mobile, Procura is pleased to announce that it has signed two contracts for the implementation of Procura Mobile, prior to the official launch in September 2011. Providing a comprehensive home health software solution, Procura Mobile for BlackBerry® smartphone promises to be a welcome addition to the home care community as evidenced by its imminent implementation by Guysborough County Home Support Agency – Richmond County Division (http://www.gov.ns.ca/health/ccs/homecare.asp) and Wing Kei Care Centre (http://www.wingkeicarecentre.org).

Well known in the home healthcare industry for its comprehensive functionality and broad scope of application across all levels of home healthcare management, the Procura solution is a popular choice among healthcare organizations in Canada, the United States, and Australia. Procura Mobile offers a single solution that addresses scheduling, administration, documentation, and safety functions from the convenience of a mobile platform. Fully integrating with an organization’s desktop-based Procura application, Procura Mobile provides a critical tool to clinicians and home health care administrative staff.

Procura has recently completed the initial implementation of Procura Mobile with Guysborough County Home Support Agency – Richmond County Division (GCHSA) in Nova Scotia, Canada. A government funded home support organization, GCHSA, is part of a network of 11 organizations that agreed to implement the Procura Mobile solution, with the Richmond County Division acting as the pilot site.

“The Agency has been using the Procura system as a client-server application since 2004,” states Denise Halloran, Executive Director GCHSA, “Knowing that a mobile application can provide us with efficiencies in client service delivery plus be another safety provision for our employees that work alone in rural communities, choosing the Procura Mobile solution just made sense. The relationship we’ve built with Procura over these past years makes this endeavor a good fit, we know them and we trust them!”

“The demands on home health care organizations to collect, analyze data, and juggle schedules of the mobile workforce, while operating on leaner budgets, is increasing,” comments Scott Herrmann, Director of Mobile Solutions at Procura, “Procura Mobile addresses this. It’s a natural fit for our industry and we’re pleased to be able to complete the initial installation with staff in under 3 weeks from contract signature. Comments like ’I can see where this makes sense for our agency‘ and ’this is cool‘ let us know that we are on the right track when it comes to functionality and usability.”

Wing Kei Care Centre in Alberta, Canada, who provide home care services in addition to operating a network of nursing homes, will soon follow suit, having already realized the benefits of using the Procura system as an ASP solution. Eager to stay ahead of the curve in a highly competitive marketplace, their decision to immediately implement Procura Mobile secures their position as a leader in their community.

“Our primary goal is to improve the quality of life for our clients and to do that we need to use the best tools at our disposal. Procura has provided an excellent platform from which to manage our administrative and point of care tasks through their ASP solution,” states Kathy Tam, Executive Director at Wing Kei Care Centre, “We have every confidence that Procura Mobile will deliver that same level of excellence.”
