As schools across the country settle back into the swing of a new semester nationally renowned youth speaker Patrick Perez is equipping teens go back with purpose. His new book “Mad Skills For Student Success”(available on Amazon.com) is already making a difference in students’ lives by encouraging them to focus on the choices they make.
Part advice guru, part break-dancer, Patrick “Pac Man” Perez serves up mad skills for student success in schools and conferences across the USA. Both his book and supplemental back-to-school YouTube videos (Youtube.com/PatrickPerezTV) share student success tips that students in any grade can make to create a great semester. He believes students can create better futures by making better choices now.
“One of the best things a student can do,” says the Austin-native, “is to get involved. By joining band, athletics, student council or even starting their own club a student who is involved in a positive social circle will have a better social survival rate than the lone wolf type.” Students across Texas and other states have been able to identify with Patrick’s quirky and humorous take on student success.
“People should really read this book because it will help you straighten things out. Whether it be school friends or even yourself,” says Michael Gaersch, a high school student in Denver, CO. Perez also states that parents need to play an active role in their child’s academic careers on a weekly basis. “Don’t just assume that everything is like clock work once the kids board the bus or you drop them off. Ask specific questions and then see how you can get involved.”
Perez recently returned from sharing his message of hope, choices and goal-setting with freshmen students right outside of Chicago as well as Huntsville, AL. Patrick would love to share his energetic and effective student success tips students and parents can make for their best semester yet.
