Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) September 02, 2011
Facebook is the largest online social network with over 600 million active users. For small businesses to really thrive in today's market, it's essential to fully understand and integrate all that Facebook offers. A trio of Certified Social Media Strategists, Kathryn Rose, Apryl Parcher and Heather Graham are coming together on September 7th to conduct a four-hour workshop on the topic at the Small Business Survival Summit in Baltimore.
The workshop, entitled: "Solving the Facebook Puzzle: a Step-by-Step Strategy for Marketing Your Business Using the World's Largest Social Network", will be presented on Wednesday September 7th, the first day of the three-day summit.
Kathryn Rose, CEO and co-founder of The Social Buzz Club, an online marketing collaboration network, will discuss the advantages of using Facebook personal profiles as well as business pages. Her discussion will include overall objectives, strategy and targeting, as well as tracking results.
Kathryn will also present "Social Media Blueprint for Success" on Thursday September 8th.
Apryl Parcher of Parcher Marketing Associates, a content marketing firm, will go over the basics of designing a Facebook page for business. She’ll discuss how to use applications, landing tabs and other elements of the platform to enhance brand identity and engagement. She’ll also be presenting a case study of a local small business that successfully uses Facebook marketing.
Heather Graham is a New Media/Digital Media Strategist, and will cover the content and promotions side of Facebook. She will discuss best practices for using other people’s content, incorporating a blog, creating a company policy for using Facebook in the workplace, and how to increase the likelihood that content will be seen by friends and fans.
Apryl and Heather will also present "Creating a Compelling Facebook Presence that Generates Results" on Thursday, September 8th.
The goal of the workshop is to empower small business owners with an understanding of how Facebook fits into social media marketing overall, and to help them activate a Facebook marketing plan. There will be exercises for fleshing out strategy, resources for getting started, and a “Hot Seat Review” of one or two audience volunteers who would like a live review of their Facebook pages and tips for improvement. At the end of the workshop, all three experts will participate in a panel discussion of questions from the audience.
The Small Business Survival Summit is a three-day event designed to encourage, motivate and train small business owners to re-evaluate and refine their business practices, identify available resources, and align themselves with organizations in their community for mutually beneficial relationships.
The Small Business Survival Summit will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center. For ticket prices and workshop information, visit: http://www.smallbusinesssurvivalsummit.com/
