The multi-award winning hit indie film "Reach for Me" will be in more than 2770 Walmart stores nationwide.

On September 6th, Walmart is releasing the multi-award winning hit film "Reach for Me" exclusively in the US in over 2770 of their stores - nationwide.

"Walmart is the most respected mass retailer in the business. We're so proud that Walmart decided to bring out "Reach for Me" in a wide variety of their stores, with competitive pricing, and a week earlier than the film's DVD release in traditional video stores," said Charlene Blaine-Schulenburg, producer of "Reach for Me" and a lead actress in the film. "Walmart is an ideal partner for us because people trust the Walmart brand, and their demographic is our demographic," Blaine-Schulenburg added.

To commemorate the Walmart release, Blaine-Schulenburg plans to meet fans for an in-store appearance in the Walmart located in Kahului, on Maui. Planning to join her in Maui will be the acclaimed actor Seymour Cassel. "I'm thrilled to be going to Hawaii to support "Reach for Me" and have another opportunity to tell people about this wonderful film," Cassel said.

Brandi Roth, Ph.D, a licensed psychologist in practice in Beverly Hills, CA, has called "Reach for Me" "brilliant" because of the way it reaches people and teaches them about relationships, particularly at the end of life. "You see the stories and you relate to them. You remember the situations days after you see the film because there is a character to touch everyone," Dr. Roth said.

"Reach For Me" made Hollywood history in 2008 by being the first digital 4K film shot and edited, end to end, in 4K, filmed in Los Angeles, produced by AMediaVision Productions, written by Michael Bruce Adams and directed by LeVar Burton. It stars Oscar Nominee Seymour Cassel, Johnny Whitworth, Golden Globe Nominee Adrienne Barbeau, Lacey Chabert and Oscar Nominee Alfre Woodard.

"Reach For Me" is an honest yet humorous and heartfelt look at how we deal with life, love, laughter, and commitment in our last days with the realization that: It's not the minutes that count, but how we spend the moments. Among the many awards it has won, Reach for Me garnered the prestigious AARP 'Movie's for Grownups' Breakthrough Accomplishment award. The film's website is
