@properties co-founders say the move will not impact the growth trajectory of Chicago's No. 1 residential brokerage firm.

“We continue to grow and strengthen our organization, and those will remain our objectives going forward,” said Golden. “The depth of our management team and the professionalism of our agents will help make this transition a smooth one.”

Chicago-based real estate brokerage firm @properties announced that Jeanine McShea, president of brokerage services, has resigned in order to pursue other opportunities. @properties’ co-founders Michael Golden and Thaddeus Wong made the announcement.

“Jeanine was the first managing broker we recruited to help lead the growth and development of @properties, and she became not only our colleague but more importantly our friend. We’re sad to see her go but we wish her all the best,” said Golden.

“Jeanine played a key role in the evolution of @properties over the past eight years. She set the bar for professionalism and built many great relationships. At the same time, we’re confident that our organization will respond positively to this situation and take advantage of the opportunities that present themselves as a result of Jeanine’s departure,” said Wong.

Golden and Wong said they will evaluate @properties’ current management team and plan to fill the void left by McShea in the near future.

Despite the persistent challenges in the housing market, @properties is in the midst of another growth year in which the company has added both agents and market share.

@properties is the No. 1 residential brokerage firm in the city of Chicago by market share and the fastest growing residential brokerage firm on the North Shore. In the city, @properties’ 15.11 percent market share, year to date, is the largest market share the company has held in its 11-year history. On the North Shore, @properties is now the third largest brokerage firm with 9.75 percent market share year to date. For the year ended July 31, @properties’ North Shore sales volume grew by 159.8 percent compared with the prior 12 months. (Source: BrokerMetrics/Midwest Real Estate Data LLC).

“We continue to grow and strengthen our organization, and those will remain our objectives going forward,” said Golden. “The depth of our management team and the professionalism of our agents will help make this transition a smooth one.”
