“Save One Life is delighted to be a beneficiary of Decanting Hope,” states executive director Martha Hopewell. She adds, “We appreciate Michelle’s initiative to raise funds for non-profits in this creative and attractive way."

The nation's first online philanthropic wine and travel catalogue Decanting Hope launches to benefit causes and donors alike. Now, by simply celebrating the many joys of life—from a luscious Napa Valley Cabernet to a vacation in the Hawaiian Islands or ‘Grand Paris’—one instantly donates between 25% to 50% of the purchase price directly to Save One Life and other non-profit organizations. “It is a gratitude program for donors,” says Decanting Hope founder Michelle Higgins. “Each non-profit recognizes the donation in the buyer’s own name, or in memory or in honor of a designated individual. The buyer subsequently qualifies for a huge tax deduction on a luxury purchase.”

Wine and travel enthusiasts can now toast, travel and receive tax deductions—all through the routine course of personal and corporate expenditures. Michelle, who unified the wine region with Decanting Napa Valley: The Cookbook, a collection of 100 wines paired with recipes by celebrity chefs, wineries and restaurateurs, adds “Decanting Hope is an extraordinary campaign to broaden collaboration and raise substantial funds.” Decanting Hope is projected to serve many causes—including Michelle’s son’s rare health condition—noting that each cause has its unique donor base, including supporters in related pharmaceutical, medical and research fields who already enjoy food and travel.

Decanting Hope is made possible through the generosity of its partners. Wines are purchased directly through each winery, which allocates the 50% donation. For travel, the 25% donation is created through a partnership with Winspire, which designs luxury excursions specifically for non-profits and has a superb collection of travel providers—including Four Seasons Resorts and Ritz-Carlton in both the US and abroad. With a growing list of travel itineraries and charitable beneficiaries, the Decanting Hope catalogue is complimentary and may be read at http://www.decantinghope.com.

Save One Life is the first and only international charitable organization devoted to supporting people with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders at the grassroots level in eleven developing countries. Through programs including direct sponsorship, scholarships and the support of hemophilia camps, Save One Life helps disadvantaged hemophilia patients improve their access to health services, medicine, food and educational opportunities. “Save One Life is delighted to be a beneficiary of Decanting Hope,” states executive director Martha Hopewell. She adds, “We appreciate Michelle’s initiative to raise funds for non-profits in this creative and attractive way. Donors can choose from the enticing wine and travel selections for themselves—or for corporate and other gifts—and feel great about supporting our hemophilia programs at the same time.” Learn more about Save One Life at http://www.saveonelife.net.
