Flexible Forms and Open Integration Standards Deliver Unprecedented Integration, Efficiency and Trust for Field-Based Service Providers

Pruvan, a leading service record technology provider, today announced that Spectrum Field Services Inc. will offer Pruvan third party certification for next generation proof-of-performance to all Spectrum customers.

“Spectrum has been using Pruvan’s trusted third party certification for select clients since early 2011,” said Alan Bunker, President of Spectrum Field Services, Inc. “This partnership has given select clients an unprecedented level of assurance that inspection questions were answered and work was performed at a certain level of quality, at a particular time, and in a particular place. The combination of Pruvan’s technology, our ‘context-sensitive’ validations on the front-end based upon previous data on the property, and our 25 years of experience in the industry make it possible to increase our accuracy and productivity while reducing costs. We are excited to expand our quality offering to include third party certification to all of our inspection clients.”

The Pruvan 3.0 Certification Platform enables Spectrum Inspectors to complete forms and capture photos on popular next-generation Pruvan Certified Smartphones and Tablet devices even in areas with no data coverage. In the field, Pruvan controls the capture of secure inspection data and secure photos on the device. Inspection forms are validated locally and can interface to back-end validation using standard web services. Once the completed form with photos is securely sent to Pruvan’s cloud-based certification services from the device, it is available for online quality assurance and transferred in real time to Spectrum, all with no possibility of human intervention or tampering.

Pruvan’s new online/offline flexible form design allows Spectrum to design efficient question flow by creating electronic forms that allow answers to enable or disable other questions, and to require one or multiple photos to support responses. The result is a more efficient process with field tested work flows that increase trust and timeliness of the results.

In addition, the Pruvan 3.0 Certification Platform provides Spectrum’s vendors a free QA Viewer that can be used as-is or embedded into any website or business process to view certified photos and certified service records that are securely stored in the Pruvan cloud. This enables Spectrum’s vendors to review their own field crew’s work and gives Spectrum’s quality control teams the ability to monitor the status of all field activities being performed in real time, all with a level of assurance and confidence never before possible.

Spectrum has been working with Pruvan since early 2011 to solve the problem of deploying inspections to over 3,000 vendors nationwide, and being able to capture thousands of forms and photos per day. Over 150,000 inspections and related photos have been piloted by Spectrum using Pruvan technology in the last 90 days.

In recent years, photo technology for property inspections has utilized digital cameras or phones with settings that can be manipulated to control time, date and GEO-tagging information. According to Bunker, “The great advantage of the Pruvan technology is that with the accuracy and integrity of Pruvan’s certification service, a trusted third party can certify time, location and context of information being submitted to our clients. In addition, Pruvan can manage online/offline form and photo capture, and leverage satellite geo-location and time stamp technology. This eliminates our dependence on a cellular Internet connection or web-based location services to get the job done onsite.”

“Pruvan’s vision is to become a trusted third party for the large-scale capture and storage of proof-of-performance photos and the associated evidence of when, where and for whom the photos were taken,” said Paul Palmer, President of Pruvan. “This vision is realized using the Pruvan Certification Platform which we designed specifically for Pruvan Certified Smartphones and Pruvan’s cloud-based certification suite of products. Pruvan’s suite of certification products and services enables real time collaboration with field service personnel and remote trading partners using flexible forms, live chat, photos, and video capabilities. This platform represents a huge step forward for providers of field-based services like property management, inspections, insurance, medical care, and emergency services.”

Pruvan is transforming proof-of-performance reporting for the field service provider industry. Pruvan has enabled providers of field services nationwide to capture, contextualize and securely share more than 14 million photos per month. Incorporated in June 2010, Pruvan is already being used by more than 4,000 field vendors to automatically capture and store more than 200 million proof-of-performance photos and the associated evidence of when, where and for whom the photos were taken. With Pruvan, service providers can dramatically reduce operational costs, workloads and the time spent on proof-of-performance reporting from the field. Pruvan’s ability to act as a trusted third party for proof-of-performance provides unprecedented transparency and peace of mind for the clients who rely on field service providers. Pruvan is privately held and headquartered in Round Rock, TX. For more information, please visit http://www.pruvan.com.
