“We are one of the only aquarium suppliers that offer cash back rewards,”

For most aquarist, buying ocean reef crystals, vitamin forted flaked foods, and other marine aquarium supplies is about as good as it gets, but thanks to a new marine aquarium supply website, it’s now possible to get cash back for what you spend.
“We are one of the only aquarium suppliers that offer cash back rewards,” said Richard Gilliland, a company spokesman for Salty Supply. “For every dollar you spend, you will receive one point. One hundred points equal a dollar.”
The Florida-based company, Salty Supply, Gilliland said, offers thousands of the most technologically advanced marine aquarium supplies.
“We carry every major brand for the serious to novice aquarium owner,” Gilliland explained. “We provide customer aquarium designs to customers around the world as well as locally to Orlando, Florida.”
He added that the company’s major brands include Tunze,Aqua Illumination, Reef Octopus, NextReef, Innovative Marine, JBJ Lighting, AquaFX, Maxspect and more.
Whether the company’s cash rewards program is a good fit for most aquarists remains to be seen. However, the launching of Salty Supply’s website may prove to have perfect timing, some economists say.
“With our nation still struggling to recover from the worst economic disaster in 34 years, consumers nationwide are looking to shop at places where they can get more for their money, so to be able to get cash back on something they were going to buy anyway is a plus,” said University of Houston Professor Robert Hood.
But implementing a cash back program isn’t the only thing the company prides itself on.
“We stand out by not carrying every product the market has to offer, but rather carrying products that have track records and are unique,” Gilliland noted.
The unique selection of products alone, Gilliland said, is not the only reason aquarist should buy their supplies from the company.
“We go the extra mile for every single customer and provide a one on one relationship for customers that speak with our sales team,” Gilliland said. “We provide equipment that will allow any aquarist to be successful. We are starting to specialize in super low wattage and products that make the hobby more sustainable.”
