CONCRETE SURFACES, published by Hanley Wood LLC, is pleased to announce the winners in its first Polished Concrete Awards.

In all, 45 projects from around the world were entered in seven different categories. Also, the winner in the Readers’ Choice Category received almost 700 online votes.

The categories were Commercial, Educational, Industrial, Craftsman, Retail, Institutional, and Residential. Projects ranged from an airport hangar to school buildings, and from residences to office buildings. In some categories, projects representing both existing construction and repair and rehab construction were honored.

“All of the concrete polishing entries display why this is one of the most promising and growing segments of concrete construction,” said Tom Bagsarian, editor of CONCRETE SURFACES. "The contractors proudly exhibited their best in workmanship and expertise.”

The winners of the 2011 Concrete Polishing Awards are:

The International Concrete Polishing and Staining Conference, held Sept. 29-Oct. 2, 2011, in Duluth, Ga., sponsors the CONCRETE SURFACES 2011 Polished Concrete Awards.
