Isla Cozumel, known for their endless sunshine and spectacular crystal clear waters with white sand beaches is a tropical island oasis that visitors love to explore and actor Jack McGee (“The Fighter”) was doing just that.
McGee and his wife Stephanie flew to Cozumel island for a relaxing and fun-filled adventure over the weekend. They took a trip to the Punta Sur National Park where they saw crocodiles and local fauna in their natural habitats; went snorkeling in the world famous Colombia Reef; took a private boat ride to one of the island’s best beaches, Cielo, and swam in its beautiful waters; and visited Cozumel’s museum, Discover Mexico.
McGee, who is about to start production on a new drama “Common Law” for USA Network, also participated in Cozumel’s Golf Tournament and met up with the Mayor of San Miguel, Aurelio Joaquin Gonzalez, and Mexican soccer star Jorge Campos. The actor also met with local officials and toured the Desarrollo Integral de la Familia with the Mayor’s wife, Maria Luisa Prieto, where he distributed toys and school supplies to children with special needs.
A former fireman as well as having played a fire captain on FX Network’s “Rescue Me,” McGee also met with the Cozumel Fire Department where Cozumel’s Commissioner presented him with an Honorary Visitor’s award on behalf of the fire department.
A vibrant land steeped in rich history, Isla Cozumel’s beauty stretches far beyond its spectacular shores. The world-famous dive site is a tranquil oasis, abundant with warm welcomes around every corner, is a destination like no other.
The biggest island in Mexico, located off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula with a population of a little over 95,000, Cozumel welcomes more than 4,000,000 visitors each year and is considered one of the most important destinations in Mexico.
Visitors will discover a culture rich in warm hospitality, luxury at its finest and exquisite adventures. No other island comes close to Isla Cozumel, known as Heaven on Earth.
