Micro publisher Harper Davis (C-Corp) is pleased to announce the acquisition of three novels: “The Marvelous Journals of Miss Virginia Pettingill” by Gilbert Mansergh, “Hack: the Novel” by Jeb Stewart Harrison, and “Going to Solace” by Amanda McTigue. A how-to book on writing the mother-memoir, “Tell Tale Souls” by Lynn Cook Henriksen has also been acquired.
The four titles are being positioned as part of the company’s experimental new publishing model with plans to release these titles as print-on-demand trade paperbacks, as well as in a number of other e-formats. Unique marketing campaigns are also in the works.
The titles are the first acquired under the company’s new president, Patricia V. Davis, whose first book, "Harlot’s Sauce; A Memoir of Food, Family, Love, Loss, and Greece," was also published by Harper Davis (under the direction of John Galvis.) Ms. Davis has had remarkable success using social networking to promote her work, and hopes to utilize those skills for all Harper Davis titles. Though still very new and underdeveloped, this innovative startup will be one to watch as the publishing world continues to evolve under the latest technologies.
