The new 9-hour training course by company InfiniteSkills offers viewers complete command over Adobe Acrobat Professional's newest edition.

Training solutions company InfiniteSkills Inc. has announced a new Adobe Acrobat X Tutorial Video course, covering everything from basic PDF creation and editing to linked digital forms, interactive collaboration and document security. With 80 separate lessons available by download and on DVD-ROM, the Acrobat Pro training offers tutorials applicable to small and large businesses, academic and government offices as well as pre-print production use.

"Adobe Acrobat Pro is a great tool for any situation where documents must be visually consistent, easily distributable and secure," said Chris Johns, content specialist for Infinite Skills. "We've designed these tutorials to demonstrate a complete range of functionality that will shock those who have only used the free Acrobat Reader in the past and quickly give them the skills to create their own interactive documents and forms for any purpose."

The Learning Acrobat X Pro Tutorial series begins with an introduction to the software's core functionality before moving to more complex tools and techniques. Course instructor and Adobe Certified Expert Michael Hoffman explains PDF navigation and search functionality, PDF creation from multiple sources and how to acquire digitally usable text from scanned images. Next, the Acrobat tutorials move through PDF editing and enhancement, showing how to implement document transitions, touch up images and text and incorporate proprietary backgrounds and watermarks. Viewers also learn how to add and remove multiple document pages and include interactive buttons, file attachments and even 3D and multimedia content.
The second half of the Acrobat X tutorial course then focuses on professional features such as collaboration and security. Hoffman uses hands-on examples to show how to create distributable forms that include boxes and buttons, barcodes and submission buttons that allow users to instantly send back relevant data. The training moves through review options and markup features, PDF portfolio creation and publishing, and multiple security features for the documents themselves and the people accessing them. Finally, the course offers a walk-through of preflight and production options when working with professional printing services.

"Acrobat is used across countless industries, anytime communication needs to be consistent and clear," said Colin Boyd, sales director at Infinite Skills. "With this tutorial, anyone can now create professional quality documents and forms ready to be used in-house or shared with customers and clients."

The complete Adobe Acrobat X Pro Training Video series can be ordered from the Infinite Skills website on a Mac and Windows-compatible DVD-ROM or as a direct download. The package includes studio quality audio and video, and usable sample files that match those used in the realtime tutorials onscreen. The retail price is USD $99.95 for both editions, and shipping is available worldwide. More information about the course can be found on the Acrobat X tutorial product page.
