The Solomon Islands meet Dr. Kluane Spake
Dr. Kluane Spake will go to the Solomon Island to host a four day pastor's leadership conference in late September. This conference will host three hundred pastors and leaders from the island of Honiara, and from the surrounding islands. The evening events are open to the public. Also coming to the conferene with Dr. Kluane is Pastor LaVonne Brown. Pastor Brown is part of the ministry team at the Promise Center Church.
The Solomon Islands, otherwise known as Oceania, are located just east of Papua New Guinea. This is an underdeveloped and unreached nation where the many inhabitants are impoverished.
Dr. Kluane's mission on her leadership mission trip, is to give instructions to pastors and leaders, so that they can teach their congregations basics for economic self sufficiency. She will also help pastors to create strategies on how to create an apostolic ministry, and also how to create an effective and productive Third Day Church government.
Pastor LaVonne has a medical background as a Physician's Assistant. She will use this experience to teach a variety of health topics, such as healthy nutrition, and preventative health.
Dr. Kluane is traveling as an ambassadorial apostle for ICA, International Coalition of Apostles, Dallas. Also, the Solomon pastors will be given materials to start a Vision Bible Training School.
Dr. Kluane Spake founded the Promise Center, based in Buford, Georgia. The congregation meets on Sundays at 11am. They meet at the Wingate Hotel, near the Mall of Georgia.
Dr. Kluane Spake is an internationally acclaimed minister. She has also authored books. She is the president of SWORD ministries. While she has spent a large portion of her ministry years abroad, she moved Georgia in 2001. Although she settled in Georgia, she continued to travel around the world. In 2008, she started her mentoring program and as a result, many of those leaders are now leading over the Promise Center.
Dr. Kluane and the Promise Center believes in foster a culture of diversity. There is a diversity of cultures, talents, and skills. The church leadership team is based on multi-eldership. These elders include Pastor LaVonne Brown, Rev Paul Wolak, and Pastors Joe and Tamie Chadburn, amongst others. These leaders have brought their experiences and talents to serve the ministry in Georgia to create an exciting and encouraging ministry.
One of the missions of the Promise Center, is to promote relationships that impact the local community. The church believes that the strength of the relationships in the community can only be as strong as the strength of the relationships in the church. To this end, the church works together in a wide variety of community outreach activities. The church plans on engaging in activities, such as the arts, music, youth ministries, and missions.
The Promise Church Ministries is a Christian ministry. They desire to present the Bible can be presented in a way that is relevant and fresh. One of the missions of the Promise Center, is to promote relationships that impact the local community. The church works together in a wide variety of community outreach activities, and wants to reach out the local community, via the arts, music, youth ministries, and with missions.
