Fast becoming known for its amazing fundraising efforts, Air Feathers Boutique and Feather Bar has taken on another cause-helping salon professionals who have lost everything in Hurricane Irene's wake.
Already working with causes such as Susan G. Komen, Go Red AHA and The Reeve Foundation, Owner Airie McCready felt it only right to add this on to the roster.
"I really want to make a difference with this opportunity in my lifetime," says McCready, a stylist and master extension artist, "I've been given a chance to do something that can help others, and that excites me."
After launching the Fairie Feather, the only cruelty free, no-kill feather extension available to date, she has set her sites on a future where fundraising is part of every day life.
"I'm sleeping in my clothes and working 24/7 right now," she says, "but it's all worth it if I can help out others by making my own dream come true."
