E-commerce and daily deal company PulseTV.com announced the creation of the first video network dedicated exclusively to daily deals. COO, Anisa Ali stated, “We have been sending out daily deal emails since 2007. We also have extensive video production experience. And now we’ve combined those skills to bring an entirely new deal-of-the-day experience to the industry.”
PulseTV.com began marketing products via TV direct response over fifteen years ago with products such as Riverdance, Lord of the Dance and The Honeymooners’ Lost Episodes. Anisa continued, “We have been marketing exclusively online since 1998 and we take inventory on all of our products plus ship from our own warehouse. After extensive testing and producing several videos demonstrating the products we sell, our success led us to build an in-house studio to expand our daily video productions.”
Creating a network of sites that embed PulseTV’s video player featuring a daily deal is a natural evolution. The network launches with 27 sites. Ms. Ali said, “We have been extremely selective in which safe-for-work sites we allowed in our initial launch of the Daily Deal Video Network. The affiliates in our network earn a significant percentage of the sales generated. We know that when people watch our daily deal videos, they are more motivated to purchase, our goal is to add more network partners and increase our views exponentially over the coming months.”
For PulseTV.com, the new video network will supplement rather than replace its daily deal emails sent to over 5 million subscribers. The Daily Deal Video Network represents a significant new channel of distribution for PulseTV’s product line. Products sold in the network include electronics, housewares, seasonal gifts and more.
Jeanie Davis, VP of Business Development, said about the initiative, “Everyone understands that email is a tremendous platform to get daily deals in front of consumers. We at PulseTV think of ourselves differently than our competition. We sell heavily discounted name-brand goods nationwide and ship from our own warehouse in Orland Park. And now, we can work with any website to embed our daily deal video player and increase the conversion rate. They can immediately be part of offering recession busting deals to their audiences within minutes. My job is to expand distribution of this exciting new platform that further distinguishes us from the crowded deal space.”
The launch of the Daily Deal Video Network is scheduled for mid September.
Anisa Ali concluded, “The Daily Deal Video Network combines all of our years of experience into one channel. We are excited at this phase of our business and look forward to building the network to include many different types of publishers and sites.”
