Northridge Inn & Resort to Host Dimestore Fishermen Crew

For two nights this fall, Northridge Inn and Resort, a four-season lakefront resort on Lake Bernard, will host the cast and crew of the Dimestore Fishermen when they come to Strong Township in Ontario’s beautiful North Muskoka tourist region to film an episode of their popular Canadian fishing television show.

Northridge Inn & Resort (, an upscale all-season resort on Lake Bernard in North Muskoka, will be hosting members of the Dimestore Fishermen cast and crew on September 14th and 15th, when they are in Strong Township filming a segment of their popular Canadian fishing television program that focuses on great fishing destinations in Canada. “We are very excited to welcome members of the Dimestore Fishermen crew to Northridge Inn for their first two nights and to host a special breakfast for them on September 15th,” says resort owner Michael Piraino. “One of the great things about operating a resort is the interesting people that you meet. We are really looking forward to meeting show host Jim Hoey and his crew.”

A uniquely Canadian outdoor program, the Dimestore Fishermen is a television fishing show that provides a spotlight on interesting Canadian communities, revealing to a national and international audience the many great fishing destinations in Canada and focusing on the cultural, historical and recreational aspects of every region or municipality that they visit. The long running, critically acclaimed series, based in Calgary, Alberta, was developed by Jim Hoey, a world renowned fisherman and filmmaker who is also the show’s producer and host. As host of the Dimestore Fishermen, Hoey takes viewers on a tour of some of the greatest fishing destinations in the world, including the very best in lake, ocean, river and ice fishing locations in Canada. The show visits a new locale each episode, and offers viewers information about the latest fishing products and techniques to help them become better at fishing. Celebrating over 10 years of national broadcasting, the Dimestore Fishermen is one of the premiere television fishing shows in the world today.

When the Dimestore Fishermen team comes to North Muskoka this month, the TV show’s five day, six night stay in Strong Township will include two days of fishing and three days exploring and filming this beautiful Ontario cottage country region. Included along with the many activities planned for the Dimestore Fishermen, is the production of a seven minute tourism video and a booth at the Strong Agricultural Fair. While in Strong Township, the Dimestore Fishermen crew will be visiting a number of North Muskoka resorts, accommodation properties, businesses and area attractions. They will also be fishing at a several locations within the township.
