GG+A President and CEO John J. Glier today announced the appointment of two Vice Presidents to the firm: Chuck Jamieson, Vice President, Business Development and Marketing; and Philip J. Akers, Vice President, Consulting Resources. “Both executive positions have been newly defined to expand outreach and support services to the firm’s hundreds of clients throughout the global philanthropic management community,” said Glier.

About Chuck Jamieson
Jamieson has 25 years of experience leading the strategic marketing and business development processes for non-profit, telecommunications, and affinity marketing organizations. His expertise includes management across the full spectrum from strategic planning to creative execution to tactical implementation. Jamieson brings to the firm a strong focus on client-centric management approaches.
Prior to joining the GG+A executive team, Jamieson served as Vice President – Marketing and Consumer Sales with Affinity4, one of the nation’s leading affinity-based marketers, specializing in helping charities, ministries, and other non-profit organizations raise funds. His efforts were instrumental in helping non-profit organizations understand how to leverage affinity marketing partnerships to advance their missions.
In addition, Jamieson served as the Director of Marketing at Event 360, where he managed the development and implementation of marketing activities for large-scale fundraising events on behalf of numerous non-profit organizations such as The Lance Armstrong Foundation, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Jamieson has also worked as a marketing consultant to Chicago area non-profits, constructing and guiding strategic marketing programs to increase brand awareness and enhance program success.
About Philip Akers
Akers will lead the Consulting Resources team, supporting GG+A clients and consultants with project management, analysis, research, reporting, and other services to enhance the success of their philanthropic management initiatives.
He joins the firm with 25 years of experience in advancement, fundraising, campaign management, and alumni relations in higher education. Most recently serving as Vice President for University Relations at Pacific University, Akers directed and managed all advancement operations. He built a major gifts unit with emphasis on data-driven approaches and performance metrics.
He has also worked as Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Lewis & Clark College; Vice President for University Advancement and President of Eastern Washington University Foundation; Regional Director of Development at Washington State University Spokane; and Gonzaga University as Director of Annual Giving.
Considered a leader in development and implementation of best practices in philanthropic management, Akers is an active member of Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and has presented at numerous CASE conferences.
