The largest indoor party in the country is back in Texas and this year it is expected to be bigger than last year. As the official after party of the State Fair Classic, which features HBCU power house Grambling University and Prairie View A&M, students from all over Texas and Louisiana will converge into the Dallas Convention Center on October 1st for both the game and the party. With over 6,000 people in attendance last year and an expected 10,000 people this year, the LaTex party (an abbreviation for Louisiana and Texas party) is quickly becoming an entertainment Mecca. The event will be hosted by Dallas radio station K104 mc’s Cat Daddy and Bay Bay and also serves as the official birthday party for B-Hamp, the superstar rapper who became a household name after his hit single Do The Ricky Bobby shot up the Billboard charts two years ago. After creating the official Dallas Mavericks championship song this year, B-Hamp is expected to use his celebrity status to bring special celebrity guest through his birthday celebration as he did last year. With artist like VIC, famous for his hit song Wobble and R&B sensation Miguel who has exploded on the market with his hits, Quickie and Sure thing, the speculations about the possible surprise visits have been circulating however at this time neither artists camp has confirmed their attendance. Tickets for this spectacular event are available at ticketmaster, in the bookstores on both campus' and at Jimmy Jazz in the Parks Mall in Arlington, TX.
